On behalf of the organizing committee, we are pleased to invite you to participate in the 2013 Spring Conference of the Asia-Pacific Council of American Chambers of Commerce (APCAC), to be held March 21-22, 2013 at the Grand Hyatt Taipei. AmCham Taipei is very excited to be playing host at this event, and we are working hard to attract attendance from senior-level executives from Taiwan and throughout the region, as well as from the United States.
APCAC, founded in 1968, now consists of 28 member AmChams in 22 economies in the Asia Pacific. The annual conference brings together hundreds of executives for networking and in-depth discussion of key issues facing the multinational business community. The gala dinner on March 21 will feature a keynote address by President Ma Ying-jeou.
The theme of this year’s conference will be “A 2020 Vision for U.S.-Asia Partnership.” Besides luncheon speeches both days, the program will include panel discussions on such topics as green energy, industry, and buildings; how FTAs and RTAs are changing the economic landscape; the impact of aging society and rapid changes of medical technologies; realigning regional supply chains; and protection of innovation and creativity in the new era. The APCAC board will also share its 2013 policy recommendations, and a number of U.S. government officials from around the region will make presentations on the state of U.S. trade and investment in their respective host countries.
AmCham Taipei believes that the conference will offer a great opportunity to promote business ties between the United States and this part of the world. If you need any additional information, we would be happy to provide it.
Once again, it is with great pleasure that we invite you to the 2013 APCAC Spring Conference in Taipei. Enjoy the conference and enjoy your stay in Taipei!
